  The first Bicycle Championship for College Students representing the highest level of the bicycle sport contest for college students, sponsored by Sports Association of College Students of China and Bicycle Sport Association of China ,was held at economics college of Hubei province on Oct.28th.

  Delegations from more than twenty universities including Tsinghua University, Fudan University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology took part in that contest, leaders from Sports Association of Ministry of China, Bicycle Sport Association of China, Sports Bureau of Hubei province and Regional Committee of Jiangxia Region attended the opening ceremony. 

  The delegation of hust stood out during the two-day fiercely contested game, with Niu Ning coming second in the road-cycle contest .They really shined in the twenty-kilometer mountain cycle contest for women, personal-time race for men and personal-time race for women .

  Focusing on advancing the development of bicycle sport for college students as well as popularizing it, training all-round developed bicycle athletes, that activity has contributed to the 2008 Olympic Games of Beijing.
