(by qiyuanshi)Recently ,the classical drama Thunderstorm was reproduced by Sky
Troupe of HUST at Xiyuan,which attracted over 300 students including some foreign students.The certain show was put in special dedication to the anniversery of death
of Cao Yu.

  The stage turned dim at 7:00 p.m when the 3-hour-play began.The play contains 4 
scenes,telling a story about a big capitalist family sticking to fedual tradition.
The twisted relationship between son and his stepmother,the weak love between
the young master and the female servant,the cruelty of authority pressed by father
and the enmity with each other in the big family totally create the inconcivable
scret,which explodes in a night of thunderstorm,submerged and damaged with the youth 
as the tragedy tells.

  All 4 scenes were played with deep emotion and rapt attention by the actors of
the `young,middle and old` in Sky Troupe.During the whole show, the audience were
on continuously high .The innosence and cheers of Zhou Chong and the valiance of Lu
Dahai unfolded by the actors received the highest appreciation.
 
  `We try to do our best and present our own understanding of Thunderstorm.It might be
rough for the limitted 1 month for practice,but I should say we`re all proud of 
it.”Said Liang Chengxiang,the director of the drama.

  ‘They are quite into it,`said Chen Weiya,a freshman who did watch the whole play,
and we strongly recommand the similar show be more.` 

  Thunderstorm is regarded as one of China's greatestdramas in the 20th century,which 
has been played hundreds of times by many authoritative organization.And it's the 1st
time for young Sky Troupe of HUST to play a formal drama at this level.And this 
edition is also the closing ceremony of a series of activities among universities in 
Wuhan commamorating Cao Yu this year.
